01

Using AUSCMX

4 common questions

What is AUSCMX?

AUSCMX is the African Union Supply Chain Management X public gateway. It brings together procurement opportunities, official documents, vendor verification, public news, and support access in one digital environment.

Do I need an account to browse opportunities?

No. Published public opportunities and their official documents can be reviewed without signing in. Account access may be required when a controlled submission or vendor workflow begins.

Which languages are available?

The language selector supports English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, and Kiswahili preferences. Some source records or uploaded procurement documents may remain in the language in which they were officially published.

How do I report an accessibility or technical problem?

Use the Help Center and select “Portal access or technical issue” or “Accessibility support.” Include the page, device or browser, and a clear description of what happened.

02

Bids & procurements

5 common questions

Where can I find open African Union opportunities?

Open and published opportunities appear on the Bids & Procurements page. Use the search and status information to identify a relevant notice, then open it to review dates, requirements, and documents.

Which document is the official source of requirements?

The opportunity notice and downloadable tender documents published through the portal are the official sources. Always review the complete document set and any later clarification or addendum.

Can I submit after the deadline?

No. A submission can only be accepted while the application window is open. Plan for document preparation and upload time before the published deadline.

Can I change a bid after submission?

The applicable tender rules determine whether a response can be changed or withdrawn. Follow the instructions in the procurement documents and use the official clarification channel where necessary.

Does registering as a vendor guarantee a contract?

No. Registration, verification, invitation, bid submission, evaluation, and award are separate stages. No registration or verification result guarantees an invitation or contract award.

03

Vendor registration & verification

5 common questions

Who should register as a vendor?

Businesses, cooperatives, consultants, contractors, manufacturers, and service providers seeking to participate in relevant African Union supply opportunities may submit a vendor verification registration.

What documents are required?

The public form requires an official business registration certificate and tax certificate. A company profile or brochure is optional. Documents must match the legal entity information entered in the form.

What happens after I submit?

AUSCMX creates a pending verification record and gives you a unique reference. The African Union may review completeness, eligibility, capability, and supporting records before deciding the next onboarding step.

Is vendor information public?

The public form is not a vendor directory. Supporting documents are stored privately for authorised review. Any later publication or sharing is governed by the applicable African Union process and data controls.

Can I register in more than one category?

Yes. Select every category that accurately represents your enterprise’s principal goods, works, or services. Avoid selecting categories you cannot substantiate.

04

Help, information & integrity

5 common questions

How do I ask a procurement question?

Open the Help Center, choose “Procurement clarification,” and include the opportunity title or reference, the relevant document section, and your specific question.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes. A successfully submitted public Help Center request receives a unique reference. Keep it for later correspondence about the same matter.

What information should I never submit?

Never enter passwords, authentication codes, private bank credentials, confidential bid prices, or other secrets in a public support form. Follow the secure procurement submission path for protected bid information.

How does digital procurement improve accountability?

Structured publication, controlled submissions, time-stamped records, consistent evaluation workflows, and preserved evidence make public decisions easier to review, audit, and learn from.

Where can I send a general public enquiry?

Use the Contact page for AU contact context or submit a Help Center request under “General information request” when you need a tracked response.
